Contents of the revision sets

The revision sets contain premium electrolytic capacitors from Panasonic and Nichicon with the capacity values of the original. For some units, you will find a PDF document in which the installation location and the respective values are listed. Any previously installed axial capacitors are always replaced with radial capacitors (upright) with the sets. Depending on the model, drive belts, a new display glass, lamps and output relays are also included. The exact scope of delivery is listed with the respective unit and the various expansion stages.

Sintered bearing oil + grease + anti-smear
High purity sintered bearing oil with viscosity 50 for record players, tape recorders and CD players. Fully synthetic manufactured without mineral oils, free of gumming and can also be used on plastics. The 5ml bottle (new size) with micro-dosing needle allows the smallest dosing quantities.
Plus 10ml grease / adhesive lubricant, can also be used on plastic.
In addition, a cleaning oil for removing sticky residues from the old black butyl belts. This oil is completely solvent-free, skin-friendly, and biodegradable. Also included is a brush with dense micro-bristles for effortless cleaning of sticky drive wheels.

RCA panel jacks
Simple RCA sockets only surround the center pin of the RCA plug with a fork at two contact points. In this RCA socket, the center pin is completely surrounded by a spring ring made of tellurium copper, thus reducing the contact resistance. Tellurium copper has better conductivity than the brass most commonly used. However, pure copper has the disadvantage of oxidizing and is too soft for a spring washer. In order to guarantee the clamping force of the spring washer permanently, to exclude oxidation and still retain the conductivity of pure copper, an alloy with just under 1% tellurium is used for the center contact.

All necessary maintenance work is carried out on your CD player. Replacement of all electrolytic capacitors. Reworking of aged solder connections. Overhaul of the power supply unit, removal of ground loops and installation of modern high-performance diodes in Schottky technology. Electrical and mechanical revision of the laser and the feed mechanism. The subsequent adjustment and calibration of the laser optics. Retrofitting the basic sound components: metronome base, tuned operational gain and output capacitors. The analog converters already installed in the device are retained.
